ABOUT
Joan is a metaphysican, an advisor who employs proven therapeutic techniques with intuitive guidance to bring clarity and direction into your life. It is a responsibility she takes very seriously, considering herself a guide to help define your problems and objectives and to work with you to find tools to create a successful life.
Her background and education are in both counseling and nursing. She holds degrees in psychology, nursing, divinity, and metaphysics and has over 40 years of experience and training in astrology, numerology, channeling and mediumship, creative visualization, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as substance abuse and family therapy.
Joan has lectured and taught in the United States, Europe, and Canada, as well as having been a regular guest on many radio programs both in Arizona and California. She was the host of two cable television programs.
For over 30 years, she has been the only channel of the combined consciousness known as Equinox.

How long have you been doing this work?I started my counseling practice in 1973 in drug and alcohol counseling and expanded my practice to include astrology, numerology, and intuitive therapy in 1977.

Are you psychic?Yes, but I am also a trained therapist with a degree in psychology.

How are you different from other psychics?I have training in counseling and different therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also include astrology, intuitive guidance, and numerology in my sessions. With the use of these three techniques, I have the whole picture and a greater potential for accuracy.

What is your accuracy rate?Accuracy has more to do with each individual than a rate. My practice has been built strictly by world of mouth and I have a huge return clientele. Consequently, I must assume that I am very accurate.

What types of situations do you work with?I work in every life area: addictions, love and relationships, work and career, money, fears, spirituality, changing sabotaging behaviors, past lives, death and grieving, creating joy, divorce, life lessons, and life purpose, for example.

Is a session scary?It's like a conversation. Most of my clients have told me they leave my sessions feeling uplifted.

What hours and days do you work?I work Monday through Saturday starting at 9 a.m., Arizona time. I take night appointments on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Do you do parties and psychic fairs?No. I have done lectures and demonstrations at large gatherings, but I do not do readings at parties or psychic fairs. My practice is large, and I don't have the time.

Have you ever worked with the police?Yes, I have worked on 10 cases with different police departments in the U.S. I have also worked with the "FindMe" organization.

What type of life situations have you guided people through?I work on everything, especially loss; death, sickness, job loss, divorce, are a few examples. Love and family relationships are also common themes.

What are the age ranges of the people you have helped?As of this writing, my oldest client is 92 and my youngest was 12.

Do you work with singles, couples or groups?Yes, I have worked with all of them.

Do you have international experience?I read for clients all over the world, usually by telephone. I have also lectured and counseled in Canada, Germany, and England.

What is the difference between channeling and a session/reading?During my sessions I contact your guides, but I am fully present and aware. When channeling, I am not present and the entities I channel, Equinox, take over.

How long is a typical session?My sessions are generally one hour, but some other timeframes are available with my individual readings.

Is one hour long enough?That is usually plenty of time for most things. Longer sessions are available.

Can I bring a support person with me?Yes.

Do you ever travel to do sessions?I have traveled to do seminars and sessions. The client pays for my time, travel, and accommodations.

What if I am not sure what questions to ask?The guides will address the things that you need to know right now. They know what is happening in your life, so you don't need to have prepared questions.

Do you say what I need to know or only what you think I want to hear?I will tell you the truth, which is not always what you want to hear.

Is there anywhere a friend can wait for me?Yes, I have a separate room.

Can you read pets?Yes.

What about recording?You can record the session yourself, or I will record the session and send the file to you electronically. I always erase the file from my hard drive so you have the only copy of the recording.

Do only people with problems come to you?No. I have people looking for clarity, those that are looking to see if the timing is right to go forward with a wedding, new business, or new enterprise, new parents wanting to pick baby names and wanting to learn about this new addition to their lives. People come for a variety of reasons, not just problems.

Do you ever have repeat clients or clients that retain you?Yes, most of my clients are repeat business, some for as long as 30 years. I also work with many people and businesses that call monthly.
